About Generations without Qat Organization: 

GWQ "Generations Without Qat" is a non-governmental organization based in Yemen that was formally established in 2010 as a result of ongoing volunteer and awareness work that a group of development activists had been performing since 2007.

GWQ is a premier humanitarian and development organization that covers several governorates in humanitarian response activities, providing relief support to conflict-affected communities in multiple sectors such as WASH, Shelter, NFIs, Education, and CCCMs. Since our inception in 2010, GWQ has dedicated its efforts to assisting communities in the country, especially the most disadvantaged, in providing livelihoods and improving health and education. Beneficiaries' activities of the organization are youth, women and children, conflict-affected communities, and vulnerable groups. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Assist in preparing the general plan of the human resource and employee affairs department, and participate in the implementation of the plan under the supervision of the HR manager 
  • Follow up the rules and regulations of the employee policies, particularly the attendances (time in and out) and leave as well as official holidays. 
  • Direct supervision on the employee attendances (finger print) and updating it accordingly and preparing monthly summary report of employee discipline to the HR manager. 
  • Prepare vacancy announcements, work with projects to fill vacancies submitted by departments; review applications and provide short-lists to substantive divisions, prepare applicant's interview schedules by coordinating with them and apply recruitment policies based on the recruitment plan. 
  • Constant update of employee statue such as (employee leave , permission, missions , per diems ) to the employee affairs system( Yemen soft) 
  • Ensure that all relevant reports/paperwork related to attendance summary, time sheets, leave scheme, deductions, etc. are shared with payroll in-charge for processing. 
  • Provide support to the payroll person in preparing and submitting payments to staff who are out of payroll, or resigning upon coordination with payroll person and apply any related actions 
  • Review and follow up personnel contracts and ensure their expiry. 
  • Monitor & follow up exit staff procedures 
  • This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other related tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRMENTS:

 

  • A university degree in management or any related field

A practical experience of no less than four years in the same field and preferably with a civil society organization. 

Ability to perform assignments within the required deadlines. 

Ability work under pressure and teamwork. 

High skills in negotiation and communication. 

Skills in working on Microsoft Office (Excel + Word) 

Skills in working with fingerprint software and Yemen soft -ONX system -(required)
